Yosemite offers world class vistas that shouldn't be passed up. Making your first trip to Yosemite? If so, we suggest you access the park via the 120 corridor. Must sees include: Bridalveil Falls, the Tunnel View, Glacier Point (not accessible in winter & early spring), Yosemite Falls & be sure to stop at the meadow (left side of the road) just below El Capitan so you can view the "ants" (binoculars reveal they are indeed human) climbing "El Cap." Heading back, check out the giant redwoods in Tuolumne Grove. Yosemite is just one of many world class things to see & do in Yosemite/Gold Country.

World class experiences like panning for real gold. It's a great family activity and, yes, you get to keep all of the gold you find! Guests here have their choice of 2 local ski resorts and there's fishing, boating & tons of  water sports literally just off your balcony. Ever go rafting? Our local rivers provide it all...from a leisurely float trip to class 5 rapids. Gold Country is rich in history. It's hard to believe but some of our towns were a dozen times bigger 140 years ago than they are today. What remains, though, are incredible reminders of the rich past. Nearby Columbia has banned cars in its historic downtown but you can still get around on foot or by hoof.

Obviously this is just a very small sample of things to see & do in Yosemite/ Gold Country.
